La Clairière du Moulin, is a charmingly renovated, original, Savoyard mill and farmhouse whose construction dates back to the 18th century. We are situated 20 km from Chambéry between the lakeside villages of Aiguebelette le Lac and Lépin le Lac. The house is set within 5 ha of parkland, forest and gardens, in an incomparable, natural location at the foot of the spectacular  Massif de l’Epine on the edge of the Chartreuse National Park and looks out over  the turquoise waters of Lake Aiguebelette, a little over a kilometre away.

Lake Aiguebelette, is the cleanest (motor boats are not allowed) and warmest lake in France, water temperatures rise to 28° during the summer months. Its surrounding area offers nature lovers and families a host of diverse outdoor activities, including rowing, fishing, paragliding, kayaking, hire of bikes and boats etc. The lake is encircled by seven beaches, each with glorious views and providing varying facilities including watersports, restaurants and beach cafés.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

We are currently in the process of transforming our 'maison d'hôtes' into self-catering apartments, two of which will be available for short term holiday lettings from 1st July 2010. Therefore, we wish to inform our valued clients that La Clairière du Moulin is no longer functioning as a 'chambres d'hôtes'

From 1st July 2010 we will be offereing two independent apartments, both very comfortable and charmingly decorated. The apartments will be available for a minimum rental period of 3 nights and comprise:

A studio apartment

A former stable (40m2), situated at the rear of the house with its own private entrance. Accommodation includes a kitchenette and shower room and sleeps 2-3 people. The weekly rates are 225-300 Euros.

A two-bedroom apartment

A first floor apartment (65m2) with independent access, the accommodation comprises two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and two bathrooms and sleeps 2-5 people. Weekly rates are 450-600 Euros.
